Road Accident on Karnah-Kupwara Highway: Police Head Constable Killed

Karnah // On the Karnah-Kupwara highway at around 8 a.m., an Alto car met with an accident, resulting in the death of Police Head Constable Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Rajwar Handwara. It is reported that Ghulam Rasool, stationed at the Tad Police Post in Karnah, was traveling towards Kupwara in his Alto car, registration number JK09B 2325, when he met with an accident near Sadhna Top in Karnah and fell into a deep gorge, dying instantly at the scene.

Reports indicate that the police officer was heading to Kupwara for official work when the accident occurred in the morning. From morning until evening, no one was aware of the accident since the car had fallen into a deep ravine. The incident came to light only when a commercial Sumo driver noticed the car in the gorge and informed the police. Following this, Kralpora police arrived at the scene. According to the latest information, legal formalities are being completed. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
