“Practical Training Programme on New Laws for Constables” commences at DPL Kupwara & Handwara

*November 08:* “`The “Practical Training Programme on New Laws for Constables” commenced today at District Police Lines, Kupwara & Handwara. This programme is being conducted in compliance with the directions of the senior leadership in the department to enhance awareness among the constabulary regarding the practical application of newly implemented major laws that is BNS, BNSS, and BSA.

The programme features lectures delivered by law students from various colleges and universities, as well as practicing advocates with knowledge of the new laws and their on-ground implementation.

 

Iin Kupwara, the event was attended by DySP DAR Kupwara Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, who welcomed the trainers and concluded the first day by presenting mementos to the participating trainers in recognition of their valuable contributions. The inaugural day featured interactive discussions, enhancing the practical knowledge and skills of the attendees. Advocate Zubair Ahmad delivered the inaugural lecture, providing valuable insights into the new laws. He was followed by Talib Hussain, an LLM student specializing in Criminal Law from the Central University of Kashmir, who continued the momentum with an informative session.

 

Meanwhile, in Handwara the training program on new Criminal Laws on recommendations of DGsP/IGsP Conference-2023 was organized at District Police Lines (DPL) Handwara on the directions of SSP Handwara Shri IFROZ Ahmad-JKPS. The program witnessed active participation from Practicing Lawyers, Law Students and Police Officers/Officials who gathered to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the new legal framework.“`
