The session featured a comprehensive presentation by Himayun Qadiri, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Agrostology, who showcased the current initiatives and future directions in the field.

During the meeting, CCF emphasized the critical importance of fodder distribution and its direct impact on livelihood generation for local communities. He said the synergy between sustainable fodder management and economic empowerment is essential and efforts in Agrostology not only support ecological balance but also uplift the livelihoods of those who depend on these resources.

The DFO presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation that outlined the operational framework of Agrostology, highlighting key projects and their outcomes. The presentation underscored the necessity for effective distribution mechanisms to ensure that fodder reaches those in need, thereby fostering agricultural resilience and food security.

The CCF reiterated the commitment to advancing Agrostology’s role in community development. By prioritizing the sustainable management of fodder resources, we are investing in the future of our farmers and the health of our ecosystems, he remarked.

In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and support, the CCF Kashmir has provided office accommodation to the Range Officers of Agrostology in their respective districts. This initiative besides enhancing their working conditions also promotes better forest management and agrostological practices in the region.
