Jammu, October 23: A fire broke out on Wednesday at the private Madrasa Saraj Ul Aloom located in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar, causing widespread concern among local residents. The blaze reportedly started in the early afternoon, quickly engulfing the building and prompting urgent responses from emergency services.

 

Fire officials, along with police personnel, rushed to the scene to combat the flames. Eyewitnesses described the smoked as chaotic, with thick smoke billowing into the sky. Locals, displaying a commendable spirit of community, joined forces with the fire service and police to help extinguish the fire, using buckets of water and makeshift tools.

 

As the situation developed, authorities worked tirelessly to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries; however, the extent of damage to the Madrasa remains unclear.

 

Officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire, and more detailed information is awaited. The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in educational institutions, emphasizing the need for enhanced protocols to prevent such occurrences in the future.
