KARNAH, On October 19, 2024, members of the Save Sharda Committee, led by founder and head Ravinder Pandita, met with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, in New Delhi. During the meeting, the committee presented a brochure outlining the Sharda mission and discussed several key demands related to the Sharda Temple at the LoC in Teetwal, Kashmir.
Their requests included the dispatch of a two-member fact-finding team to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to assess the status of Sharda Peeth, widening the Chamkote-Teetwal road, acquiring land for a Yatri Niwas with the Custodian General, installing a full-body scanner, expediting the tender process for the Sadhna Tunnel, and initiating a bus service from Srinagar to Teetwal.
Dr. Singh reviewed the demands and proposed various measures for their resolution.
