BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 28: In view of the General Elections to Legislative Assembly scheduled to be held on 01 October in district Bandipora, the District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Saturday flagged-off polling parties for 16-Gurez Assembly Constituency.
The deployment of polling parties three days in advance to Gurez is crucial due to the region’s challenging terrain and potential logistical hurdles. This early mobilization allows the teams to reach remote polling stations, set up necessary equipment, and ensure all preparations are complete for a seamless voting process.
A total of 31 polling parties, consisting of Presiding Officers, polling staff, and police personnel, were dispatched to ensure fair and transparent voting, allowing every eligible citizen to exercise their democratic rights.
The DEO highlighted the commitment to conduct free, fair and peaceful elections, adding that all necessary arrangements and welfare measures for the polling staff are in place.
He stated, that well trained and dedicated teams are prepared to facilitate a smooth and secure voting experience for all citizens.
Dy.DEO Bandipora, Mohmmad Rafeeq Bhat, ARTO Anees Ahmad and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
