JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 27: As part of the ongoing SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) campaign, a musical event featuring Punjabi singer Sangram Hanjra was held today in the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Jammu University.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from youth. They were urged to cast their votes in the upcoming October 1 elections and motivate others to do the same.
District Election Officer (DEO) Sachin Kumar Vaishya, addressing the gathering, reminded the participants, especially the youth, of their responsibility to vote. “Make sure to cast your vote on October 1 and inspire your family members and others to do the same,” he said. He called upon all eligible voters to take part in the electoral process to boost overall voter turnout.
The DEO highlighted that the Election Commission of India (ECI) has made elaborate provisions to ensure accessible facilities at polling stations, especially for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters.
The event was attended by ADDC Sher Singh, ADC Ansuya Jamwal, SVEEP Nodal Officer Dr. Vikas Sharma, along with other district officers, all of whom encouraged the public to actively participate in the democratic process.
