Karnah, September 25: In a charged campaign rally in Karnah, Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Chairman and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Er Rashid, launched a scathing attack on People’s Conference leader Sajad Gani Lone, accusing him of acting as the BJP’s agent in Kashmir. Er Rashid alleged that, much like the BJP’s divisive politics, Sajad Lone has been instrumental in dividing the people of Kupwara for his personal and political gains.

“Sajad Lone, just like the BJP, has divided the Kupwara area for his vested interests. He is nothing but their agent in Kashmir,” Er Rashid asserted while addressing a rousing gathering.

The outspoken politician didn’t stop there. He passionately declared his vision for a unified Kashmir, free from the conflict and division that the Line of Control (LoC) symbolizes. Er Rashid boldly stated, “Iss khoni lakeer ko mita ke rakhenge” (We will erase this bloody line), referring to the Line of Control, which has long served as a painful divide between families and communities on both sides of Kashmir.

Elaborating further, Er Rashid emphasized that the LoC is not just a line on the map but a symbol of the suffering of the Kashmiri people. “For decades, this line has caused death, displacement, and division. It has separated brothers and sisters, parents and children. My fight is not just for political power but for the restoration of the dignity and rights of the Kashmiri people. This line, soaked in the blood of innocents, has no place in our future,” Er Rashid passionately proclaimed to an emotional crowd.

The statement resonated deeply with the people of Karnah, many of whom have been directly affected by the LoC, either through cross-border shelling or the separation of families. Er Rashid’s commitment to uniting both sides of Kashmir was met with loud applause and chants of support from the audience, who hailed him as a leader committed to the true cause of Kashmir.

Er Rashid took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities, who, despite being given reservations by the BJP, overwhelmingly voted for him during the Lok Sabha elections. “The people of Karnah and the ST communities across Jammu and Kashmir voted for me with their hearts, regardless of the BJP’s tactics. This shows the strength of our unity,” he said, affirming his unwavering love for the people of Karnah.

“While thanking the people of Karnah for their support and vote stated that My love for the people of Karnah is immortal. We live in each other’s hearts and souls,” Er Rashid proclaimed, pledging his continued commitment to the development of the region.

During his address, Er Rashid urged voters to support his candidate, Fayaz Ahmad Choudhary, also known as Fayaz Karnahi, by pressing the ‘Pressure Cooker’ symbol in the upcoming elections. He highlighted the warm welcome he received from the people of Karnah, which he said reaffirmed their belief in his leadership and vision.

Er Rashid also revisited his promise of constructing a tunnel for the Karnah region, a longstanding demand of the people. “I made a promise, and I will ensure its fulfillment. The construction of the Karnah tunnel is not just a political promise, it’s a necessity for the people, and I am fully committed to making it a reality,” he stated.

In a broader message to the people, Er Rashid called for unity. “My fight is not for power, nor is it against any individual politician. My struggle is for the restoration of the rights of the Kashmiri people and to address their sentiments and aspirations,” he emphasized.

Accompanied by the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, Er Rashid continued his campaign trail through the region, with the people of Karnah showing immense support for his leadership and vision.
He said that people of Karnah are ready to coroperate to open shardha peth but demanded Muslim shrines on both the sides of loc should be also made open for Kashmiri’s living on either side of the LOC
