REASI, SEPTEMBER 22: Nari Shakti Choupal was held today at Panchayat Chinkah, Block Thakrakote as part of the “Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation” (SVEEP) initiative.
The aim was to reach out to female voters and encourage them to exercise their right to vote and showcase true meaning of “Nari Shakti”.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local masses including women of Self Help Groups, Anganwadi workers and first time young girl voters.
The SVEEP team, led by Nodal Officer Sachin Sharma, provided comprehensive insights into the electoral process, encouraging all women to participate in the democratic process and cast their vote on 25 September 2024.
The SVEEP Team highlighted multiple measures taken by District Election Office to make voting accessible for women such as Pink Polling Stations ensuring inclusivity in the voting process.
Additionally, detailed information was also provided to the participants regarding Saksham-ECI app, which features a range of accessibility options to assist in voter registration, locating polling stations, and casting votes.
The program culminated with a pledge by women participants to actively promote voter participation within their communities, aiming for a higher voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
Local Women, First time girl voters, AWW’s and Officials of the Social Welfare Department were present on the occasion.
