UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 22- A mega SVEEP awareness program was held today at Patnitop, featuring series of events including Nukkad Natak, rap songs, folk dances, a music concert and a signature campaign aimed at igniting awareness and encouraging active participation in the upcoming general Assembly Election 2024.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Patnitop Development Authority to spread the message of the importance of voting.
District Election Officer Udhampur, Saloni Rai, graced the event as the chief guest.
In her address, she emphasized the power of every single vote in strengthening democracy and urged all citizens to come forward and exercise their democratic right. She lauded the efforts of the organizers in using cultural activities to engage the masses and foster electoral awareness.
The program saw enthusiastic participation from various stakeholders and was attended by ADDC Udhampur Rajinder Singh, PO Poshan, Subash Dogra, CPO Mohammad Iqbal, CEO PDA, Devendra Singh Bhau, SDM Chenani, Gurdev Kumar, DPO Dr. Preeti Sharma alongwith large number of prominent citizens, adding to the festive atmosphere aimed at promoting electoral engagement.
The performances, which focused on the importance of voting and the power of each citizen’s voice, were well-received by the audience, igniting a spirit of participation and responsibility.
The event concluded with a signature campaign, where attendees pledged to vote and encourage others to do the same.
