HANDWARA, SEP 20: In order to ensure smooth polling, EVM, VVPAT training programme was organized by the District Election Officer Kupwara at Environment Hall Handwara.
The training programme was Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC),Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather who is also Returning Officer, (RO)AC- 05 Handwara.
The training was imparted in two sessions by Syed Mohammad Farooq Geelani and Syed Saqib Geelani DLMTs.
In its first session, 120 employees were given the brief description of EVM, VVPAT and documentation part, main focus was documentation as was early observed in lok sabha poll the necessary documentation was found incomplete as such the poll deployed staff faced problems while submitting the papers.The RO impressed upon all employees to be neutral and impartial in the poll conducting process. The 2nd session was attended by another group of (120) employees who were also given hands on training of EVM, VVPAT and documentation in both sessions.
