KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 18: General Observer, Pankaj Kumar Pandey and Expenditure observer, Sunil Agawane today chaired a meeting with representatives of contesting candidates of 5-Handwara and 6-Langate Assembly constituencies at Meeting hall of Dak Bungalow Handwara.
The meeting was held as per the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) guidelines to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in the district. Also present at the meeting were the Returning Officer AC 5-Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather, Returning Officer 6-Langate, Dr. Mudasir and Nodal Officer 5-Handwara, Syed Basharat Rasool.
On the occasion, the General Observer emphasized the concerned for strictly adhering to the guidelines and code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI). He urged all political parties to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations throughout the election process, ensuring smooth and fair elections.
The General Observer also assured that the ECI is committed to maintaining neutrality and transparency at every stage of the electoral process. He encouraged party representatives to report any concerns or violations immediately, so appropriate action can be taken.
The General Observer concluded the meeting with a reiteration of the ECI’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the electoral process and ensuring a level playing field for all political parties.
Expenditure observer also emphasized and highlighted the rules and regulations of expenditure procedure by the candidates in the elections and to maintain the records in accordance with the guidelines of ECI.
Earlier, the General Observer and Expenditure Observer chaired a separate meeting of Nodal Officer MCMC, Nodal Officer MCC and Nodal Officer Expenditure during which a threadbare discussion was held and various measures were reviewed.
