KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 13: The General Observer for the 48-Inderwal Assembly Constituency, Dr. A Arun Thamburaj participated in a key training session for polling staff, including personnel designated for Women-Centric Polling Stations. The training was held in the DIET Meeting Hall, Kishtwar, in preparation for the upcoming Assembly Elections.
The session was designed to equip polling staff with comprehensive knowledge of electoral procedures, protocols, and responsibilities, ensuring the smooth and transparent conduct of the elections.
Dr. Thamburaj emphasized the critical role polling personnel play in maintaining the integrity of the democratic process, ensuring that elections are free, fair, and transparent.
The training program was also attended by the Returning Officer for the 48-Inderwal constituency, Nodal Officer for Training, Riaz Ahmed Butt, and other key officials.
Addressing the participants, he reiterated the importance of vigilance, proper conduct, and adherence to electoral guidelines during the election process.
The General Observer commended the efforts of the district administration in organizing the training and stressed that all necessary measures should be in place to facilitate efficient and transparent elections. Special emphasis was laid on the role of polling staff in managing Women-Centric Polling Stations, ensuring that these stations are inclusive and accessible to all voters.
The session marks a significant step in the preparations for the upcoming Assembly Elections, with all stakeholders working collaboratively to ensure that the democratic process is upheld in Kishtwar.
