Srinagar, 27 Aug: The Met Centre Srinagar has issued a weather alert for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting wet spell in J&K till 1st September.

From August 27 to 30, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at many places, with intense showers and heavy rain possible at isolated places in Jammu Division, Reads MET advisory.

Brief spells of rain and thundershowers are expected at isolated places from August 31 to September 1, followed by generally cloudy weather with a possibility of rain and thundershowers from September 2 to 3.

The region is expected to experience dry weather from September 4 to 5, it further reads.

The Met Centre has warned of flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones over vulnerable places.

In the past 24 hours, Jammu received 64.2 mm of rainfall, Kathua 65.2 mm, Udhampur 64.8 mm, and Samba 53 mm, reads the advisory.
