Bandipora:- 21 Aug: Socio-political activist Mudasir Ahmad Bhat orginased supporters’ meeting at his residence in Naidkhai area in Bandipora district on Wednesday evening where the gathering drew hundreds of enthusiastic supporters, underscoring Bhat’s growing influence in the area.
Social political activist Mudasir Bhat addressed the media, emphasizing the critical need to awaken the youth to the realities of the current political landscape. He stressed that the size of the gatherings was less important than the message being conveyed: the necessity for youth to recognize the deceit of those who have long exploited them.
“The future is not in the hands of those who have deceived you for decades,” Bhat declared passionately. He urged the youth to resist supporting those who have failed them for years. “Their time is up; the youth are now awake,” he added, signaling a shift in political power driven by a more informed and motivated younger generation.
Bhat also took aim at the National Conference (NC) and its recent manifesto, accusing the party of attempting to deceive the public with hollow promises. He pointed out that the NC had previously rallied support by championing Articles 370 and 35A, only to later abandon these causes. “Now, their shops are empty, and their goods have been sold; they have nothing left to offer,” Bhat stated, highlighting the increasing disillusionment among the youth toward traditional political players.
The activist announced the official start of his campaign, pledging to engage directly with the people through a door-to-door outreach effort. “The rest is in Allah’s hands, but we will work hard, and, Inshallah, we are hopeful of winning the assembly elections,” Bhat affirmed, expressing his confidence in the upcoming electoral contest.
When questioned about his political affiliation for the forthcoming elections, Bhat remained non-committal but assured his supporters that a decision would be made soon. “Inshallah, a decision will be made soon. I will not disappoint our people,” he said. Bhat added that he would align with the party that best resonates with the emotions and aspirations of the people, or he might even consider contesting independently. He emphasized that the true strength of any political movement lies in the unwavering support of the people.
