WALKATHON AS PART OF HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN
With an aim to promote national pride and unity, Srinagar Sector CRPF
organized a walkathon on August 14, 2024 under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’
campaign.
The rally commenced from SKICC and concluded at Ghat No 13,
Boulevard Road, marking a significant prelude to Independence Day
celebrations in the Kashmir Valley.
The 3 km Tiranga Walkathon witnessed widespread enthusiastic
participation from oSicers and personnel including Mahila personnel of
all battalions of Srinagar Sector CRPF based in Central Kashmir Region
to commemorate the National Flag ahead of the Independence Day
celebrations in the valley. CRPF men and women proudly carried the
Tricolour high during the walkathon, symbolizing their dedication to the
nation and its values.
The Tiranga Walkathon was ceremoniously flagged oS and led by Shri
Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF. Speaking on the
occasion, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF said that the CRPF jawans
participated in the Walkathon as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The motive of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was to invoke a sense of respect
for the Tiranga among the people. He further added that Srinagar Sector
CRPF was proud to organize the Tiranga Walkathon.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri HS Kales, DIG
Administration Srinagar Sector, Shri Prashant Dar, DIG (P&A), Srinagar
Sector, Shri Sudhir Kumar, DIG Srinagar North, Commandants of
Srinagar Sector based battalions and other senior oSicers of Srinagar
Sector CRPF.
The Tiranga Walkathon is a testament to the CRPF’s commitment to its
role in fostering a sense of unity and pride among the Kashmiri awam.
