Karnah J&K : Over the past 15 years, the Pratham Education Foundation NGO has made significant strides in enhancing the quality of education in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in remote areas like Karnah. Under the leadership of Tehsil Coordinator Rayaz Ahmed Lone, the organization has implemented learning camps targeting students from class 1st to 5th. These programs are conducted in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Education Department.
The initiative focuses on assessing students’ learning levels, identifying weaker students, and placing them into tailored groups that use activity-based and play-based learning methods. These innovative techniques have shown remarkable improvement in the students’ learning outcomes.
Every month, a different school is chosen to host these learning camps. Today, the camp was held at UPS Chard Mohalla Khwarpara School, where mothers of the students were also engaged in a dedicated meeting. The mothers were provided with counseling sessions, and report cards based on the students’ IQ levels were prepared and handed over to them.
This ongoing effort is a testament to the commitment of Pratham Education Foundation to uplift the educational standards in Jammu & Kashmir, ensuring that every child has access to quality education.
