SHOPIAN, AUGUST 07: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone today presided over a Block Diwas at Zainapora Subdivision of the district to assess the local issues and listen to the grievances of the people for speedy their disposal.
People from Zainapora and various other adjoining villages projected several developmental demands and other issues of public good.
They demanded uninterrupted power supply, better drinking water facilities, road connectivity and other issues of public importance.
After listening to their demands and issues, the ADDC assured the general public of the area that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner.
The ADDC while interacting with the public said that the Block Diwas is being organised across the length and breadth of the district with the sole objective to provide a more transparent, accountable, public-friendly and responsive Administration to the people. This initiative of the government is contributing immensely to good governance, he said.
On this occasion, the ADDC took department- wise performance of works completed and directed the concerned department heads to complete other ongoing works expeditiously and submit the action taken report before next scheduled block diwas.
He directed all line departments to ensure that all the departments are on fore-front to provide every possible facility to the general public of Zainapora.
SDM Zainapora, Nissar Ahmad Wani, District Officers, concerned Tehsildar and other officers from the line departments attended the Block Diwas programme along with local population.
