Karnah Kupwara:Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee organized zonal-level elections for the positions of Zonal President, Vice President, and Zonal Secretary in Tangdhar Karnah. According to a statement released by the Election Cell Tangdhar, the JKTJAC Election Commission, after scrutinizing the nomination papers submitted by the candidates for various positions as per the notification of their program for Zone Tangdhar, declared the three candidates who had submitted papers for the positions of Zonal President, Vice Zonal President, and Secretary eligible.

During this process, Javed Ahmad Qureshi was elected unopposed as Zonal President, Shafqat Ahmad as Vice President, and Manzoor Ahmad as Zonal Secretary. An oath-taking ceremony was held in this regard in Karnah on Sunday, where Javed Qureshi and the other elected officials took their oaths. The oath-taking ceremony was held in Tangdhar on Saturday, where the Zonal Education Officer of Tangdhar administered the oath to them.

District President Peer Mushtaq and his district executive team congratulated all three candidates on their promotion to the positions of Zonal President, Vice Zonal President, and Zonal Secretary in a joint statement. The outgoing president and his zonal executive team have rendered their best services for the welfare of teachers in general and specifically for the teachers of Zone Tangdhar. We salute the hard work of Wasim Arif, Abdullah Shah Sahib, and Abdul Aziz during their tenure as zonal representatives.
