SHOPIAN, AUGUST 02: The Deputy Commissioner (DC),Faz Lul Haseeb today visited Kapal Mochan Temple, Nagbal to review the arrangements being put in place for the upcoming festival commencing from August 14 and to take stock of implementation of instructions, issued department wise, in a review meeting held yesterday.

DC met the temple management and local residents who highlighted several issues requiring the coordination of district administration for timely resolution, ensuring the smooth conduct of the religious rituals of Hawan Shrawan Bah.

Deputy Commissioner enquired from local temple management committee about the provision of services at the Temple and listened to their demands and assured them of the readiness of the district administration to support and place all arrangements for the devotees.

On the occasion, Faz Lul Haseeb issued specific instructions to the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power, portable water, healthcare facilities, regulate traffic, maintain cleanliness and provision of other amenities for public convenience.

Haseeb stressed upon officers that all arrangements should be completed well before the start of the rituals. He directed health officials to offer enhanced healthcare facilities to the devotees and the devotees visiting the temple.

The Municipal Council, Shopian was also instructed to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in the vicinity of the revered religious site.

The DC was accompanied by ADC Shopian, Zakir Hussain Faaz besides other officers of civil and police department.
