JAMMU, JULY 31: This is in reference to the news item carried out by a Hindi Daily Newspaper on 30.07.2024 regarding the protest made by some persons against the tentative General Merit list published by Youth Services and Sports (YSS) department for consideration of appointment against the calendar year quota 2014 – 2022 in terms of SO. 12 of 2022 read with SO. 412 of 2023.
It is clarified that General Merit list of provisionally eligible candidates year wise, who have applied for appointment of outstanding sportspersons in terms of J&K Appointment Outstanding Sportspersons Rules 2022 issued SO. 12 of 2022 read with SO. 412 of 2023 has been notified for inviting objections/claims, if any, from the interested candidates / public at large within a period of 15 days.
The list has been notified on 19.07.2024 and objections/ claims, if any, received within the stipulated period shall be examined by the constituted committee in accordance with the rules and disposed-off accordingly.
The final Merit list shall be issued after due consideration of the objections/grievances, if any, received to ensure transparency in the selection process. There are some unscrupulous elements who are hell bent to tarnish the transparent process made under SO. 12 of 2022 read with SO. 412 of 2023 and to recognize the sports achievements made by the athletes in the past one decade.
In case any person has any grievance/objection, against the provisional merit list published by the YSS Department , the same can be duly submitted on official email id [email protected] within stipulated period i.e. by 4th of August, 2024. All grievances/objections shall be considered strictly on merit as per the provisions defined in SO 12 of 2022 read with SO 412 of 2023.
