Finalizes DPRs of Heritage Projects
KULGAM, JULY 30: To finalize Detailed Projects Reports (DPRs) focused on the revival, restoration, preservation and maintenance of architectural and cultural heritage sites/ projects, a meeting of District Coordination cum Implementation Committee was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, at the Mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held, and the committee approved the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for several key heritage projects including development of Sheikh Ul Aalam Shrine at Qaimoo, development of Khanbarni Temple at Devsar, development of Mela Kheer Bhawani Asthapan at Manzgam, repairs/ renovation of Ziyarat Shareef Katrasoo and renovation of Ziyarat Shareef Shalipora.
It was informed that these DPRs will be forwarded to Directorate of Archives Archaeology & Museums J&K for revival, restoration, preservation, and maintenance of architectural and cultural heritage sites/ projects of the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Bashir Ahmad Wani; ADC, Viqar Ahmed Giri; JDP, Zahid Sajjad; Deputy Director Archeology & Museums, Deputy Director Tourism, CEO, DSEO and other members.
