KULGAM, JULY 28: A mega event to commemorate ‘World Hepatitis Day, 2024’ with the theme ‘It’s time to act’ was today held at Kulgam.
The event commenced with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan inaugurating a free screening camp aimed at identifying cases among vulnerable and high-risk groups, as well as other patients at District Hospital Kulgam.
This initiative underscored the commitment of the authorities to combating hepatitis and safeguarding public health.
Additionally, awareness sessions were conducted to educate the participants about hepatitis, its prevention, and the importance of early detection and treatment.
These sessions were well-attended and provided crucial information to help reduce the stigma and spread of the disease.
