Police holds meeting with retired police personnel & NOKs of police martyrs in Pulwama

*July 27:* “`In a commendable initiative to strengthen ties with retired police personnel and the families of police martyrs, Police in Pulwama organized a meeting with retired police personnel/officers and NOKs of police martyrs at the District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama.

The session was chaired by DYSP DAR Pulwama. The primary purpose of this meeting was to check in on the welfare of retired police personnel and the next of kin (NOKs) of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. The gathering saw a large turnout of NOKs and retired officers, who openly discussed various concerns and issues.

The chairing officer assured the participants that their grievances would be addressed with urgency and priority. The officer praised the bravery and dedication of the police martyrs and acknowledged the ongoing contributions of the retired personnel. He highlighted the department’s commitment of providing continuous support and assistance to the families of the martyrs and the retired officers, recognizing them as an integral part of the Police Parivaar (Police Family). Further, the participants were briefed about various measures taken by the department for their welfare.

The chairing officer assured the participants that J&K Police is always at their disposal. Further they were assured that they are still part of Police organization and they can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time.“`
