SRINAGAR, JULY 23: The Department of Horticulture J&K has bagged first prize at International Agriculture & Horti Expo-2024 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The Department of Horticulture J&K had participated in the International Agriculture & Horti Expo-2024, the mega exhibition which was held at Pragati Maidan New Delhi, w.e.f. 20th to 22nd July 2024.
The 3-day exhibition aimed to focus on Agricultural and Horticultural Advancements and International Trade; Protected Cultivation (Greenhouse), Irrigation & Farming Technologies; Organic Farming and Fresh Fruits, Vegetables, Cereals etc.; Hi-tech Seeds, Fertilizers & Pesticides; Processed Foods & Post Harvest Technologies; Agri Finance, Insurance & Research Institutes; Cold Storage & Technologies. Concurrent shows ‘Farmers Workshops’, World Organic Expo, Food & Technology Expo Govt. Achievements & Schemes.
The Departmental stall was installed in the said Expo, to showcase various fruit cultivars being cultivated in Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of people visited the stall during three days.
The exhibits of fresh and dry fruits displayed at the stall invited the attention of visitors as well as the management of the expo.
At the valedictory session of the expo, the participation of Department of Horticulture, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir was declared spectacular and adjudged most attractive among all the stalls of the expo and has got first prize in the International Agriculture & Horti Expo 2024.
