CEO Kupwara organized  Capacity Building orientation cum training program of teachers from  Zones Tangdar & Chamkote for identification of Children with Special Needs

KUPWARA(KNS): CEO Kupwara organized Capacity Building orientation cum training program of teachers in all 13 Zones of District Kupwara under Inclusive Education Wing of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA J & K . The program was inaugurated by CEO Kupwara Abdul Majeed Dar in presence of Principal Farid Ah ,ZEO Shah Muhammad, Headmistress BHSTangdar, SAMARA & IE team & more than 85 teacher participants at BHS Tangdar & Headmaster at BHS Chamkote in presence of IE team and more than 105 teacher participants.
The program aimed to achieve goals under the banner of Inclusive Education and carryout a survey for early identification of CWSN (Children with Special Needs & OOSC) at school level & in respective catchment areas .
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS), The objective of the orientation program is identification, enrolling, retention,providing them with academic support and various benefits, aids & appliances , different allowances to achieve the aim of Inclusive Education under the banner of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA J&K.
Hereafter, a survey shall be carried out at school level to identify CWSN enrolled & OOSC so that their medical assessment can be conducted for providing them free Aids & Appliances as a support and encourage them to fulfill their dreams for their independent livelihood and thrive for the society as well.
CEO Kupwara termed the survey of prime importance and asked teachers to prove CWSN as their prime concern and none is left out and ensure inclusion aimed under Inclusive Education Component of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA.
Morethan 190 teachers were covered from both the Zones during the day long program and were given training & know how regarding the Disabilities & issues related to CWSN.
District Coordinator Inclusive Education Javid Wani discussed all 21 disabilities with teacher participants and all parameters , fee exemptions for their registration ,admissions and other aspects involved during identification of CWSN ,updating on UDISE PLUS portal.
Mir Mohidin Asstt Programer deliberated on UDISE PLUS punching and steps involved for pure and transparent data.
Lastly Javid Wani District Coordinator thanked both the Principals ZEOs , Headmasters ( Venue Heads) from both the Zones , SAMAGRA team of CEO Kupwara , IE team , teacher participants for listening patiently, ZNOS Mr Mukthyar & Mr Nishad Iqbal IE for their full support, cooperation and full time presence showing their concern for upliftment and betterment of this special section and part and parcel of our society.
The Capacity Building cum Orientation program for teachers concluded in all 13 Zones of the District today on 23rd of July 2024 with the message among community to achieve the objectives aimed under Inclusive Education Component of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA J&K for the larger interest of students falling within this category and provide them equal opportunities, equity, equitable social status & academic support for their upliftment and bring these CWSN students to receive all benefits under various schemes of SAMAGRA SHIKSHA in spirit of Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act (RPwD Act -2016).(KNS)
