In a heartwarming display of compassion and innovation, the Hajipir Brigade, in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayita Samiti and Sultan-Ul-Arifeen Artificial Limb & Caliper Fitment Centre, Srinagar, organized a groundbreaking three-day Artificial Limb Fitment Camp at Trehgam.

Over 410 individuals with limb disabilities from far-flung border areas of Kupwara received FREE prosthetic limbs and medical aids, including:

– Wheel chairs-42
– Hearing aids-300
– Crutches-09 pair
– Calipers-54
– Hand Stick -107
– Elbow Crutches -26
– Limb-14
– Walker-10

A dedicated team of skilled doctors and technicians provided customized support, ensuring each recipient received:
Pre-fitment medical examinations, Custom molding and fitting of prosthetic limbs, Training sessions on use and maintenance, and Counselling and support for adaptation.

Beneficiaries, many of whom were deprived people without any available facilities, expressed heartfelt gratitude, showcasing the profound impact of artificial limbs on their lives, enabling them to reclaim independence and pursue their aspirations.

This camp exemplifies the power of collaboration and innovation in transforming lives, instilling renewed confidence and hope among recipients in far-flung border areas of Kupwara. It aims to extend continued support and celebrate such initiatives, making a difference one step at a time!
