SHOPIAN, JULY 22: In a pivotal move towards advancing district development, a comprehensive meeting was on Monday held by District Development Council (DDC) Shopian to discuss the District Capital Expenditure (Capex) Plan.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Shopian, Bilqees Jan. Other participants present included the VC, DDC; DDC members, Chief Executive Officer (ADDC), DDC; ACD, CPO, Executive Engineer (REW), and all Block Development Officers (BDOs).
The session commenced with the Chairperson addressing the attendees, emphasizing the significance of the Capex plan in shaping the district’s future. The meeting proceeded with an in-depth discussion of the Capex plan, ensuring a thorough examination of each aspect.
Members of the council put forward various suggestions and recommendations, which were meticulously deliberated upon. This inclusive approach ensured that the Capex reflected the diverse needs and priorities of the district.
The CEO outlined the priority areas for the district, highlighting key sectors that require immediate attention and investment. These priority areas include infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and rural development.
The CEO stressed the importance of allocating resources efficiently to maximize the impact of the Capex plan.
The ACD Shopian and Executive Engineer (REW) provided technical insights and feasibility reports on proposed projects, ensuring that all plans were realistic and achievable within the given timeframe and budget.
In her concluding remarks, the Chairperson expressed gratitude to all members for their active participation and constructive input. She reiterated the council’s commitment to the holistic development of Shopian.
