2 People Killed, 4 Of Family Among Six Injured In Accident In Rajouri

Jammu, Jul 21 : At least two people were killed and six others, four of them from a family, were injured when a vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle in Rajouri district on Sunday.

Official sources told that an Eeco Van (JK11G-7794) on its way from Thandikassi towards Lam met with the accident near Challan Thandikassi this morning, resulting in the death of driver namely Arun Kumar son of Hemraj of Lam and Mohammad Din son of Fakeer Mohammad of Baghla. Six other people travelling in the vehicle were also injured in the accident which occurred in the area close to Line of Control.

The injured have been identified as Atif Aslam son of Mohammad Aslam, Zareena wife of Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Aslam son of Mohammad Din, his wife Shahida, daughter Asiya Sadeeqa and son Raza, all residents of Baghla.

Dr Iqbal BMO Nowshera told GNS that six people have been admitted to the hospital.

A police official told GNS that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up. (GNS)
