Reiterates Administration’s commitment to ensure inclusive development of district through decentralised planning
SHOPIAN, JULY 10: To take firsthand appraisal of public welfare and developmental issues, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz lul Haseeb today visited the Kapran Block and chaired the Public Outreach programme, here.
Scores of people from the villages of Kapran, Matrigund, Rawalpora, Dangam, Pratabpora and other areas participated in the Camp and flagged-off issues of public interest and grievances before the DDC for their prompt resolution.
Key issues raised by the public included the demand for better road connectivity, improved drinking water supply in uncovered areas, development of rural developmental assets, issues of waste management, provision of transformers, upgradation of educational and health infrastructure in various areas.
The DC assured the participants of prompt action and gave on-the-spot instructions to the concerned departments for the time-bound resolution of the issues emphasizing the district administration’s commitment of fulfilling the demands of the public.
DDC reiterated the commitment of the administration to ensure the inclusive development of all areas of the district through micro level, decentralised planning.
Public Outreach through Block Diwas, he said, provides opportunity to administration and public to sit together and chalk out the developmental trajectory of villages by taking firsthand assessment of requirements and needs of people at their doorsteps.
The DC urged all officers to work with dedication to ensure that the rights and needs of the people are met efficiently by them.
DDC Member, Kapran besides district officers, block officers and officials were present on the occasion.
