KUPWARA, JULY 9: The District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYSSO) Kupwara in collaboration with the District Administration Kupwara today conducted the Sampoorna Abhiyan Marathon as part of the Aspirational District program. The event saw enthusiastic participation of nearly 100 runners, who embarked on a spirited journey from BHS Gushi to DC Office Kupwara.

The marathon was jointly flagged off by the DDC Member Drugmulla, Ms. Amina Majeed, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara, Abdul Majeed Dar and the District Youth Services and Sports Officer. Their presence and support underscored the importance of such events in fostering community spirit and promoting physical fitness among the residents.

The Sampoorna Abhiyan Marathon aimed to highlight the significance of the Aspirational District program which focuses on the holistic development of underdeveloped regions through initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the residents.

Participants, ranging from young students to local athletes, displayed remarkable energy and determination throughout the marathon.

The event concluded at DC Office Kupwara, where the participants were greeted with refreshments and a warm welcome. A brief ceremony was held to acknowledge the efforts of all those who took part, and the top performers were awarded certificates and trophies in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

The DYSSO and CEO expressed their gratitude to all participants, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event.

Meanwhile, the winners who got 1st , 2nd and 3rd position were felicitated on the occasion.
