_Directs Officials to Ensure Cleanliness, Medical Facilities, and Uninterrupted Utilities_

In preparation for the upcoming Muharram celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner of Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), chaired a comprehensive meeting to review the arrangements and take necessary actions.
The DC directed the CEO of the Municipality Poonch and Surankote to ensure proper cleanliness in all mosques and Imambargahs in Poonch and Surankote town. Similar instructions were given to the Block Development Officers of Mandi and Mendhar.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Chief Medical Officer to arrange for adequate medical facilities and emergency services during the Muharram processions and gatherings at the Imambargahs.
The Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Department and the Power Development Department were directed to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the mosques, Imambargahs, and the venues of the Majlis. They were also asked to provide water tankers to support the processions.
The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the Assistant Director of Food Supplies to ensure the availability of ration and LPG as per the requirements during the Muharram celebrations. The Regional Transport Officer was directed to coordinate with the police to ensure smooth regulation of traffic and the maintenance of street lights and roads.
The meeting discussed various other arrangements in detail to ensure the successful and peaceful observance of the upcoming Muharram festivities in the district.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas(JKAS), Chief Medical Officer, Dr.Zulafkar Ahmed, Tehsildar Haveli, Azhar Majid, ARTO Poonch, Taramani, AD Food, Adil Shabir, District Culture Officer, Dr.Alamdar Adam, Xen PDD, Aftab Hussain, EO Municipality, Yaqoob Choudhary, Tehsildar Mandi, Ashfaq Hussain, AEE PHE, Asiq Hussain, Tehsildar Hqr,Incharge, Nawab Ahmed, besides prominent citizens Taj Mir, Adv Mohd. Zaman, Secy Apni Party, Surjan Singh, Ishrat Bhatt, and other officials and religious heads.
