We are proud to announce that one of our players namely Farhat Gulzar presently in J&K police secured a silver medal in on going All India Judo police meet at Guwahati. It is for the first time when any player from the police judo team has secured any medals. It is also worth to mention here that Farhat has already secured medals in junior National judo championships. Also Farhat is the only player selected for world police games from India.
Farhat has been training at RCC Srinagar of J&K Sports council since childhood under the coach Mr. Shafkat Shafi and today he has achieved his carrier’s big Mile stone now he will be in India camp for two months and then will proceed for world police games. When asked to Farhat about his achievements he first thanked his officers of the department who provided him the chance to play judo from the J&K police and credited the achievement to his coach. Farhat also thanked his practice partners without them he would not have been able to achieve this medal. In the overall all this is his parents who supported and encouraged him right from childhood and today he became able to win this prestigious medal
It is worth to mention here that all the top rank players are playing in this competition because they are employed in big departments like CRPF , BSF ,CISF, ITBP, SSB. etc etc and getting medals in such competition is a big
