Islamic University of Science and Technology in Collaboration with Rotary Club of Kashmir organised Blood Donation Camp and was inaugurated by VC Prof .Shakil Ahmad Romshoo in Awantipora.

Awantipora, Kashmir — In a noble initiative aimed at promoting the spirit of altruism and community service, the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kashmir organized a Blood Donation Camp on [26th June 2024]at Awantipora. The camp was inaugurated by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor of IUST, Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo ,alongside the President of the Rotary Club, Mr. Sdr Rtn Manjeet Singh, Vice President Rtn Sameer Wazir, and Secretary Rtn Dr. Touseef Ahmed.

The event witnessed a large turnout of students and faculty members from IUST, as well as members of the local community who came forward to donate blood and support this noble cause. Notably, Rtn Sameer wazir and Rtn Dr. Touseef Ahmed, the Secretary of the Rotary Club, led by example by donating blood during the camp.

In addition to the blood donation activities, the Rotary Club members took the opportunity to educate the students and participants about the importance and benefits of voluntary blood donation. They emphasized the critical role that such initiatives play in saving lives and supporting individuals in need, especially during emergencies and medical crises.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, VC IUST Mr. Sakeel Ramshoo expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club of Kashmir for their partnership in organizing the blood donation camp. He highlighted the significance of such collaborative efforts in fostering a culture of social responsibility and compassion among the youth.

The successful collaboration between the Islamic University of Science and Technology and the Rotary Club of Kashmir in organizing the blood donation camp reflects their shared commitment to serving the community and making a positive impact on society.
