Karnah // The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is being observed today, June 26th, across the globe. In this regard, events are also being organized in the sub-division of Karnah. A meeting led by the SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) of Karnah was held in the conference hall of Tangdhar, where the preparations were reviewed.

The meeting was attended by the Tehsildar of Karnah, SHO of Karnah, Principal of GDC Tangdhar, Zonal Education Officer Tangdhar, Chamkote, along with principals and headmasters of all higher secondary schools, and members of the media.

During the meeting, the SDM of Karnah instructed all officers to finalize the preparations for tomorrow’s program. The heads of the schools were asked to organize events within their schools to help make the area drug-free. It was also mentioned that a rally of school children will be organized, where the children will chant anti-drug slogans and raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs.

The police, water supply department, and health department were directed to ensure the presence of police personnel on the roads and to take special care of water and health facilities so that the children do not face any difficulties.
