SAMBA, JUNE 15: Under the guidance of Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Magotra, and the overall supervision of CMO Samba, Dr. Vidhi Bhutyal, World Blood Donor Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in District Samba.

As part of the celebration, a Blood Donation Camp was organized at District Hospital Samba in collaboration with Samba Social Club and Amar Ujala Foundation. The camp was a significant success, with 16 units of blood donated by generous participants.

The event was inaugurated by Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Samba, who not only opened the camp but also set an inspiring example by donating blood himself.

DC lauded the efforts of the medical staff in District for their dedication to organizing such crucial blood donation camps. He emphasized the importance of blood donation in saving lives and encouraged the community to participate in these vital activities.

In recognition of the donors’ contributions, DC, Abhishek Sharma distributed appreciation certificates to all participants, acknowledging their selfless act of donating blood.

As a part of World Blood Donor Day celebrations, Emergency Hospital Vijaypur facilitated blood donors and organized a Special Disability Camp, further highlighting the district’s commitment to comprehensive healthcare and community service.

The event underscored the collective efforts of the healthcare community, local organizations, and citizens in making a positive impact on public health.
