Police arrests drug peddler in Budgam; Psychotropic substances recovered

*June 11:* “`In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Budgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered psychotropic substances from his possession.

On receiving an information from reliable sources about one person of Choon Budgam believed to have concealed/ dumped psychotropic substances in his residential house, a special Police team headed by SHO Budgam raided the spot.

During search, Alprazolam -03 Strips (65 tablets), Clonazepam -04 Strips (50 Tablets), Carispas -01 Strip (65 tablets) and SpasmoProxyvon Plus -24 tablets were recovered from the residential house of Uzlifat Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Magloo resident of Choon Budgam. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 212/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been taken up.“`
