Notorious Drug Peddler Arrested by Anantnag Police

Anantnag, 01 June: District Police Anantnag continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the Menace of Drugs from the society, arrested one more Drug Peddler and recovered narcotic substance from his possession.

Police party from Police Station Srigufwara laid down a Naka at Kathsoo crossing and arrested one person namely Imran Ahmad Najar S/O Mohd Ibrahim Najar R/O Kathsoo Srigufwara and recovered about 6.1 KGs of Poppy Straw from his possession. Accused was arrested and contraband seized.

In this regard Case FIR No 43/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Srigufwara and investigation taken up.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding Drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in Drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actions against Drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of Drug Menace.
