Kupwara, May 19, In a significant progress towards ensuring the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha Elections, on May 20, (Monday)in Kupwara district all the poll parties along with election material have reached to the Polling stations successfully.
Earlier, Under the meticulous supervision of the District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, the process of dispatching Poll Parties along with material from Dispatch cum Receipt Centers (DCRCs) established for 6 assembly segments of the district were conducted successfully.
The district has a total of 611 Polling stations and 607 Polling parties have reached the 607 polling stations across the district. 4 Polling stations of Trehgam assembly segment including Kainthawali, Shallubutta, Bugna and Bichwal are inhabited.
As many as, 75 Polling parties reached their respective polling stations, in assembly segment Karnah, 85 poll parties of Trehgam Assembly segment reached the polling stations.92 poll parties arrived at 92 polling stations of Kupwara, 98 Poll parties reached their respective polling stations in Lolab assembly segment. In Handwara assembly segment 117 parties and Langate 140 poll teams arrived their polling stations.
When the poll parties including security personel reached their respective polling stations this afternoon they were warmly welcomed and received by concerned Panchayat Secretaries( Nodal officer For AMFs and Stay arrangements), BLOs, field functionaries of PHE and PDD .
Comprehensive arrangements were made for departure of polling parties, encompassing vehicles, seating arrangements, and security measures.
Earlier, The District Election Officer, conducted visits to DRCs of the district She interacted with polling parties, urging them to adhere to Election Commission guidelines diligently and execute their assigned tasks with dedication and integrity.
The deployment of polling parties marks a crucial step in the electoral process, ensuring that democratic exercise proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
Kupwara district which is part of 1- Baramulla Lok sabha constituency is going to polls in May 20 tomorrow.
