Jammu & Kashmir Police in Jammu District arrrested two drug peddlers from Belicharana,10 grams of heroin(Chitta) recovered

Jammu, May 18: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Jammu & Kashmir Police in Belicharana area of Jammu District have successfully apprehended two individuals and recovered 10 grams of a heroin(Chitta)like substance.The arrest/recovery was made by a police team from Police Post Belicharana led by ASI Jamat Ali, during a routine vehicle checking at RNB Chowk Belicharana.

During the vehicle checking, an Alto K10 bearing registration number JK03N 1563 was signaled to stop,the car, coming from Satwari towards Belicharana which had two occupants.Upon conducting a personal search of the individuals, the police recovered 4.80 grams of a heroin like substance from the driver identified as *Bilal Ahmad Shaksaz S/o. Bashir Ahmad Shaksaz R/o Seer Kanil, District Anantnag*. Additionally, 5.20 grams of a heroin-like substance was recovered from the passenger identified as *Nadeem Ahmed Khan, son of Ghulam Nabi Khan R/o. Nai Basti,Anantnag .*
The total quantity of the recovered narcotics amounts to 10 grams.

In connection with this recovery, a case has been registered under FIR No. 91/24 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Satwari. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover more details and possible links to a larger network.

This operation underscores the commitment of the Jammu Police to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety and well-being of the community. The police urge citizens to report any suspicious activities to help in the fight against drug-related crimes.
