NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL OF GATARU GANG BOOKED UNDER PSA BY POLICE

Samba, May 16: In order to curb the criminal activities in the district, Samba Police has detained and lodged in jail notorious criminal of Gataru gang Rohit Baloria under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).

The notorious criminal Rohit Baloria S/o Gopal Krishan R/o Vijaypur tehsil Vijaypur, district Samba has been involved in a number of criminal cases registered against him at Police Stations of district Samba & district Jammu viz. PS Bishnah, PS Ramgarh and PS Vijaypur. His criminal activities have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity.

Following his repeated engagement in criminal activities, detention order was issued by the District Magistrate Samba based on detailed dossier prepared by SSP Samba. The police team led by SHO PS Vijaypur successfully executed the warrant, detained the notorious criminal Rohit Baloria and lodged in District Jail Kathua.

It is pertinent to mention here that kingpin of Gataru gang and his brother have already been booked under PSA by Police.
