PULWAMA, APRIL 20: As preparations for the General Lok Sabha Election 2024 are underway, the District Election Office Pulwama today conducted Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities to educate and engage voters in the electoral process at High School Achan and Litter.

The ongoing SVEEP initiatives aim to enhance voter awareness, promote voter turnout, and encourage active participation in the election.

In line with the Election Commission of India’s guidelines, the District Election Office Pulwama has intensified its efforts to reach out to the public through various cultural programmes, Ladishah, Rally, Seminars, awareness programs, campaigns, and events.

These SVEEP activities are designed to educate voters about the importance of voting, voter registration procedures, voting rights, and electoral ethics.

The SVEEP activities conducted by the District Election Office in Pulwama include voter registration drives, voter education workshops and interactive sessions with Women, Youth (especially new voters, elite class, community leaders, distribution of voter information pamphlets, and voter awareness rallies.

The District Election Officer Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom emphasized the significance of SVEEP activities in ensuring maximum participation and engagement of voters in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.

Dr. Basharat encouraged all stakeholders, including government departments, civil society organizations, media partners, and educational institutions, to actively support and facilitate the SVEEP efforts in the district.
