KARNAH:In a recent address, the Bar Association Karnah highlighted the pressing need for the prompt issuance of Scheduled Tribe (ST) certificates specifically for the Pahari ethnic group residing in their region. They expressed deep concern over the prolonged delays in the issuance of these certificates, which are crucial documents enabling access to various government benefits and opportunities.

The association voiced apprehension regarding the adverse implications of these delays, emphasizing how the absence of ST certificates hampers the socio-economic advancement of the Pahari community and exacerbates their marginalization within society.

To address these concerns, the Bar Association President, Advocate Qazi Mehboob Illahi, Secretary Abdul Majeed Banday and other Advocates of Karnah strongly urged the relevant authorities to streamline procedures and implement efficient mechanisms to expedite the process of issuing ST certificates to eligible members of the Pahari ethnic group without further delay. They emphasized the importance of ensuring the swift delivery of these vital documents to alleviate the hardships faced by the Pahari community.

Furthermore, the association reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of all residents in the region, particularly marginalized groups like the Pahari ethnic community. They pledged to continue engaging with authorities and stakeholders to address this pressing issue and work towards fostering inclusivity and equitable access to government resources and benefits for all members of the community.
