Kupwara, March 23: On the directions of District Election Officer (DEO) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS), a mega youth festival under SVEEP campaign was organized today at Government UPS Trehgam by the District Nodal Officer SVEEP Kupwara.

As part of ongoing SVEEP activities, the general public, first time voters, community leaders, local Artists and student achievers, participated in the youth voter Festival.

The event started with keynote address by District Nodal Officer SVEEP/ CEO Kupwara, Abdul Majeed Dar , who emphasized that the purpose of the programme was to educate the students and youth regarding electoral literacy besides motivating them to participate effectively in the election process so that no voter is left behind.

Further, the resource persons of the SVEEP motivated the students and youth to enhance their participation in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections for stronger democracy and strengthen the youth partnership for greater electoral participation. They urged the young voters to exercise their franchise without fail and contribute to the strengthening of democracy.

Speakers also highlighted the significance of active participation of the youth in the electoral process for betterment of the nation.

On the occasion, various activities were conducted which include Speeches, Student competitions, Awareness regarding electoral participation, Felicitations and Cultural shows.
