In conversations with our correspondent, the Chairman of Karnah’s Civil Society expressed dismay over the failure of the department to provide timely electricity. “If the department cannot ensure uninterrupted power supply, why do they continue to send timely bills?” he questioned.

With electricity disruptions disrupting the sacred rituals of Sehri and Iftar, residents are resorting to using candles for illumination during these crucial times. The situation has sparked outrage among the community, leading to calls for action from higher authorities.

“We urge the higher authorities to address this issue immediately and reconsider our agreement with the department,” the Chairman added, reflecting the sentiments of many in Karnah who feel let down by the lack of basic services during Ramadan.

As the month progresses, the pressure mounts on the administration to rectify the situation and fulfill their promises of providing essential services during this auspicious period.
