रेलवे स्टेशनों पर यात्री सुविधायेँ और बेहतर बनाने पर ज़ोर
उत्तर रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक श्री शोभन चौधुरी ने आज मुख्यालय कार्यालय, बड़ौदा हाउस, नई दिल्ली में उत्तर रेलवे के विभागीय प्रमुखों और डीआरएम के साथ (वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से) उत्तर रेलवे की कार्य प्रगति की समीक्षा की । महाप्रबंधक ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि संरक्षा रेलवे की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है। सुरक्षित ट्रेन संचालन को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए और पटरियों, रोलिंग स्टॉक, सिग्नलिंग और इलेक्ट्रिक ओवरहेड तारों और अन्य उपकरणों आदि के उचित रखरखाव के हर सम्भव सभी प्रयास किए जाने चाहिए। उन्होंने संबन्धित विभागों को कर्मचारियों के लिए नियमित रूप से प्रशिक्षण और पुनश्चर्या पाठ्यक्रम आयोजित करने का निर्देश दिया ताकि वे मानवीय त्रुटि को कम करने के लिए सिस्टम के कामकाज के बारे में बेहतर जानकारी, त्रुटिहीन सेवा के साथ अपनी ड्यूटी को सही रुप से अंजाम दे सकें ।
महाप्रबंधक ने यात्री सुविधाओं में वृद्धि और अन्य चल रही परियोजनाओं की प्रगति की समीक्षा की और संबंधित अधिकारियों को काम में तेजी लाने का निर्देश दिया। उन्होने रेलवे संरक्षा के साथ-साथ सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं की संरक्षा सुनिचित करने के लिए आरओबी/आरयूबी कार्यों को समय पर पूरा करने के लिए सभी आवशयक प्रयास किए जाने ज़ोर दिया ।
उन्होंने कहा कि जहां भी जरूरत हो, वहां वन विभाग से पेड़ काटने की मंजूरी में तेजी लाने के निर्देश दिए ताकि इनसे पटरियों या ओएचई तारों को खतरा न हो। उन्होंने ट्रेनों की निर्वाध आवाजाही के लिए पटरियों पर विद्युत संरक्षा के साथ-साथ रिले और पैनल रूम में संरक्षा पर ध्यान देने पर भी जोर दिया। उन्होंने ट्रेन संचालन में मानवीय विफलता को कम करने पर जोर देते हुए सभी विभाग प्रमुखों और डीआरएम को समयपालन बनाए रखते हुए माल लदान में तेजी लाने के भी निर्देश दिये। उन्होने अवैध रूप से रेलवे लाइन पार करने वाले लोगों के विरुद्ध रेलवे अधिनियम के तहत कड़ी कार्रवाई करने के भी निर्देश दिये।
उत्तर रेलवे अपने उपयोगकर्ताओं को सुरक्षित, सुगम और बेहतर सेवाएं देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

Sh. Shobhan Chaudhuri, General Manager Northern Railway held a performance review meeting with the departmental heads of Northern Railway and DRMs (through video conferencing) at Headquarters Office, Baroda House, New Delhi today. The GM emphasized that Safety is the utmost priority over Railways and all out efforts should be made for safe train operations with ensuring the maintenance of the tracks, rolling stock, signaling and electric overhead wires and other equipment etc. are working in proper manner. He directed the departments to regularly conduct training and refresher courses for the staff to keep them motivated and informed of the working of the system to minimize human error.
The General Manager reviewed the progress of enhancement of passenger amenities and other ongoing projects and instructed the concerned officials to expedite the work. All out efforts should be made for timely completion of ROB/RUB works to enhance railways safety as well as safety of the road users.
He also instructed to expedite approvals for tree cutting wherever needed from the Forest Department so that these do not pose a threat to the tracks or OHE wires. He also emphasized on focusing on electrical safety on tracks as well as safety in relay and panel rooms for error free movement of trains. He stressed upon minimizing the human failure in train operation. He also instructed the department heads and DRMs, to maintain punctuality and keep pace for freight loading with safety as priority. Strict action should also be taken against the tress passers under Railway Act.
