Woman found dead at in-laws home in Srinagar, family alleges murder

Srinagar, Feb 18 : The family members of a woman, who was found mysteriously dead at her in-laws home in Zonimar area of Srinagar, Sunday alleged that she has been murdered, while her in-laws claimed she died by suicide.

Speaking with the family members of the woman, identified as Mehvish, alleged that she has been murdered by her in-laws.

One of the family members said that they tried to call her many times, but she was not available. “Her in-laws are claiming she died by suicide, but they have murdered her. We demand a thorough probe into the matter,” he said.

Meanwhile, a police official told KNO that FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered, and investigation is underway.

He said that the cause of woman’s death was also being ascertained—(KNO)
