Feb 11: A Bharat Darshan Tour involving 20 different schools from Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was successfully concluded on Saturday.
The tour, which lasted for eight days, aimed at promoting goodwill and highlighting the sincere efforts made by the central forces in the development of youth in the region.
According to a CRPF official, the students visited various places of interest in India, including Mumbai and New Delhi. They also had the opportunity to visit the Parliament, giving them a chance to understand and experience different aspects of Indian culture and heritage.
At the flagging-in ceremony held at the 179 Battalion headquarters,several dignitaries were present, including DIG NRK CRPF R.K Singh Rawat, CO 179 BN Santosh Kumar Mall,CMO 179 BN Dr Pravin Ranjan,SP Sopore Divya-D (IPS),DC Abhay Singh Bhatti, DC Ajeya Kumar, AC Kalyan Singh and AC Anand Kumar, besides other Jawans.
During the ceremony, the students were honored with certificates and various gifts in recognition of their participation in the tour.
