Sopore Police arrests 01 drug peddler along with banned 13 bottles of Codeine Phosphate

Sopore, Feb 10 : Sopore Police on Continuing their efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Today they have arrested one drug peddler and recovered Psychotropic substances from his possession.

An official told that a police party of sopore during patrolling at Baghat Butpora Sopore, apprehended one drug peddler in a suspicious moment carrying a polythene bag in his hand identified as Aijaz Ahmad Najar Son of Ghulam Din Najar Resident of Mumkak Butpora Sopore.

He said during his search, party was able to recover 100 ml 13 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

Accordingly, case FIR No. 29 of 2024 under 8/21 section of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.–(BAN)
