MVD Samba organises bike rally to spread awareness

SAMBA, FEBRUARY 03: The District Administration Samba, in collaboration with the Transport Department organized a Bike Rally as a part of ongoing National Road Safety Month.

The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma from Chichi Mata Mandir and culminated in Diani.

A large number of locals, officers and officials of District Administration, vehicle dealers and petrol pump employees who were specifically invited at the event participated in the rally. It was led by ASP Samba Surinder Choudhary and ARTO Shammi Kumar,

The primary aim of rally was to raise awareness among the public regarding Traffic Rules and Regulations, with a focus on minimizing accidents and highlighting Road Safety Hazards.

Addressing the gathering, DC emphasized the importance of the “No Helmet No Petrol” approach. He highlighted the rally’s purpose is to discourage riding 2-wheelers without helmets, restrict underage encourage seat belt usage for 4-wheelers, and discourage mobile phone usage while driving. Dealers were tasked with educating customers about Road Safety measures during vehicle sales.
